The terms you accept by using this site — including the one about your manual winning.

We publish clearance figures quoted from manufacturers and computed sizing figures derived from published specifications. Both are general information for a category, not an assessment of your specific space, structure, fuel supply or local code. We have not seen your patio and cannot advise on it.

The content here is editorial and informational. It is not engineering advice, fire-safety advice, legal advice or financial advice, and no relationship of professional responsibility is created by your reading it. Decisions about what to buy and how to install it are yours.

This site takes accuracy seriously and works harder at it than most: every figure is either sourced or computed from sourced inputs, and the arithmetic is printed so you can check it. Even so, specifications change, manufacturers revise documents, prices move constantly, and arithmetic can be wrong.

So the content is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Verify anything that matters against the manufacturer's current documentation before you rely on it. If you find an error, tell us — we correct on the page. How corrections work.

Any price shown here comes from an automated feed, is stamped with the date it was verified, and disappears automatically once it is more than 48 hours old. Prices and availability at the retailer change constantly and the retailer's own page at the moment of purchase is the only authority. We are not responsible for a price that has moved since a page was rendered.
